New grips for my 22/45 Ruger
I just got thru making this set of grips for my 22/45 race gun. They are made from a piece of wood that I bought off Ebay a good while ago. It is "Spalted" or "Flame" maple, I think. The odd thing about these grips is the trigger finger support. It only allows a straight back trigger pull and positions the trigger finger in the same spot for each shot. The left side grip has dished out "grooves" for each of the other 3 fingers. Love the grain in the wood! There may be a sandpaper shortage for a while!

Very well executed and interesting design ET. Have you applied any sort of oil/urethane finish?
Yes, I used several coats of Minwax wipe on polyurethane finish over a "golden oak" color stain.
