WW-2 Walther PP with Bring-back Documents

I just purchased this very late WW-2 era Walther PP with its 'bring-back' certificate:

Shooter12, Regarding your comment about markings, this is evidently one that was captured at the Walther Factory before it was proofed. My uncle was with Patton's army and he told me on many occasions how he actually took a tour though the Walther factory after it was captured. He saw all the unfinished guns/parts around the facility. It does not even have the eagle over N proof.

That is a very nice package. Is the caliber stamped on the pistol?

These "mismatched" PP's are an interesting sub-category.
    Some are proofed, most aren't.
Having the bring-back paperwork is stellar for one of these!

The PP guys would love to see this one (esp the paperwork)... I'll send you the link to research project and database on them.

I collect the Walther P.38 ac45 c and d block mismatches, which is the parallel path so to speak.

    That's a very nice find.

The two serials are near the very end of known serialed production at Zella-Mehlis in 1945. From about 350--- on these generally were equipped with dark brown pressed-wood grip panels; looks like some earlier standard black ones were found for this one.
