    Durant, OK recommendations

Going with family to Durant from the 4th thru the 6th. Other than gambling what are other things to do within 60 miles. All kids are over 19.

    Thanks.

Lake Texoma, just west of Durant. Big lake. Perfect for skiing, swimming, fishing, etc.

The beauty of that area is that there is NOT a whole lot going on as far as I can tell. I worked in southeast OK for a while and miss it. If you go a couple hours northeast there is a lot of pretty country in the Kiamichi mountains.

I will second the recommendation of Past and Blast. The owners are good people. Nice store with interesting items. A great combination of guns and antiques.

You could always go fishing at Sardis or mcGee creek. Or I’ve heard about Durant lake producing lately.
