    44 colt 1860

    IMG_7082.JPGIMG_7081.JPGIMG_7080.JPGIMG_7079.JPGhave a 1860 44 cal colt army, with pat sept 10th 1850, with i assume is serial number?? 13050?? have been told most likely a fake? does have writing on barrel but hard to read, what i can make out is the wording black powder made in italy?? does anyone know how to confirm if it is the real deal or fake. cheers

    Not considered a fake , just a reproduction . A fake wouldn't advertise the country of origin .

    Welcome to the forum. As noted, you evidently have an 1860 Army reproduction. If you were to post a couple of clear pictures here our experts would certainly be able to explain exactly what you have.

    I agree, the FAP inside a diamond is Pietta's mark. The datecode, seen as two letters inside a square, looks like AN to me, which would give it a manufacture date of 1985.
