    I remember years ago a few bank ad`s where they would give you a free gun if you made a large deposit with them and left it there for a certain length of time.

    The Bank of Findlay and Bank of Boulder offered a variety of guns for depositing a certain amount for a specified length of time in their banks. The Python/Diamondback sets were probably the most famous.

    Ford, Edison, and Firestone had winter homes in Fort Myers, Florida and went camping together.

    You can still go camping in a Ford truck (What else?) but you can't take a new Colt New Service along, at least not since about 1944. A shame. All those in the photos were larger than life and that 7.5" New Service was the biggest hand gun available. Glad I have one like it, except mine is blued and about the vintage of those photos.
