    Just received an unopened can of Sperm Whale Oil in a Brownells yellow can. Still sea

    Think it’s still good after all these years?
    Can is still factory sealed.

    How old is the can? I didn't know anyone used whale oil anymore...

    It's likely early '60's - look for a zip code - if one isn't present, it's earlier.

    And obviously stored properly.

    As to the cooperation/collection of samples - they 'are' called 'sperm whales' after all - they're probably pretty willing to give it up…
