Jackson, I was unable to get your pictures to show. I know we're missing something good or maybe just my computer. Here's some Ebay stags that the seller didn't know what gun they were for, but hanging around here so long I did. I think they were in the $80 range. I darkened the bark area with brown leather dye with a hint of black to tone down the redness. It took many gentle coats. Dogface gave me advice on the application.

Those grips look like they might work on a later issue Colt Police Positive.

"........stag handled.............." I haven't heard that expression in many years! Used the term "pearl handles" many times myself.

I had one of the early Ruger Blackhawks in .44 Mag with the factory Ruger stags. Beautiful revolver, but the most painful I ever shot with full .44 Mag loads. Six rounds and the middle finger could take no more punishment. Someone made black rubber grips that filled in behind the trigger guard that were butt ugly, and I just couldn't bring myself to remove the stags.

Another I wish I still had, but at the time had to get rid of something if I found something I liked better.

That's it! I'm cancelling all my porn sites now and just looking at this. Do you by any chance know "Baddass" on Ruger forum, a Ruger aficionado about an hour north of me here in California? He showed me a couple boxes full of original Ruger ivory and stag grips with medallions of course.
