I have a few of the new production Uberti 44 Specials. With little or no effort the 44-40s cylinders have pretty much dropped right in when using the same cylinder bushing from the original 44 Special cylinder. If not (and a couple of them were pretty tight) as least on my guns there was very little additional fitting required. I shoot 240gr bullets in my 44 Specials and 200 gr bullets in my 44-40s. As you might imagine the POA/POI differs between the two. I like the 44-40 a lot. Just have found the 44 Special to be easier in so many ways that I seldom pick out a 44-40 to shoot any more. But I am loading 240s and 200gs bullets in the 44 Special again.

I have both 200gr and 240gr kinda prefer the 200gr of the two. I talked to Jim Martin the other day and he told me he collects 44 guns and prefers the 200gr also so we talked quit a while on the subject, what an amazing man.
