    grip screw just spins. UPDATE

    Thanks to all for the good advice.
    A combination of Kroil, A soldering pencil to heat the screw and escutcheon, and a pair of channel lock pliers with wood shims taped on as a vice and the grips are free.

    I held the very edge of the escutcheon with the pliers to help keep it from turning
