I’d sure like to hear from the guy that would drop 1.8 to round out his Model 70 collection. Any chance the seller sees that kind of money for these?

I doubt it, these Model 70 Winchester's have been listed for awhile now. I can't remember when I first saw the listing but it was a few weeks ago.

    We have my dad's 300 H & H Model 70, and we just snagged a Featherweight 06 for less then $200, so 1 & 2 aren't for me either.

Well hot damn, that's nice to know!
Well, if it's a smooth bore..... but seriously folks, they're 80% (seller estimated) rifles that have been messed with. A first year 80% Model 70 is worth X, two are worth 2X. Subtract 2X from $1,700,000.00 and you come up with what the seller thinks the numbers are worth and he's PROUD OF THEM!!!

I always list guns for 3 or 4 times more than they're worth so I can show my wife that I'm trying to get rid of a few to make her happy. Hasn't backfired yet!

Ya I might bid, thinking I need a new truck gun to throw behind the seat.

    Hmmm...$1.7M...payments...
I wonder if my yet to be born grandchildren would be interested in paying them off?

I’d honestly be surprised if these guns reached 100k in a premier auction. They both been messed with. Also I would want some proof they are the actual 1+2. I find it odd you get 6 pictures for 1.75 mil, that’s a huge red flag in itself imo.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit such crimes... such laws make things worse for the assualted and better for the assailants: they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man" Thomas Jefferson quoting Cesare Beccaria
