Oh thank goodness there is an endless sea of polymer with words like Tactical and Elite added to their long, hyper masculine sounding base names.

Now if only some YouTube gun experts that attended media day could just tell me how to feel about the Python despite the fact that they can't count to six.

The Firearm Blog reported having issues with the cylinder not moving when they test fired the Python at SHOT. The NRA YouTube on it had the Colt rep explaining that they have shipped out over 2,000 and have had 6 returned, and only a couple had this issue, the rest were "cosmetic" issues the customers wanted corrected. So, who to believe?

I'm sitting the Python out for a good while to watch and see.

I scrolled through it until I got to the double folding AR pistol. That's when I realized that there's nothing for me at the Shot show.

Not me. There are quite a few interesting firearms being released this year and I just discovered some more. Thank you for the link.

Monday I went to range day at Las Vegas Metro PD's range. About 50 vendors showing guns and equipment. Glock. CZ and FN had booths and a distributor has S&W. I shot the new Glock 22 long rifle semi auto several times. The gun is very light easy to keep sights on target for followup shots. Glock was using CCI ammo and the one rep I spoke with told me as much use as the 22's were getting no problems. The magazines are polymer and it will be interesting how long the mag lips hold up under long time use.
I shot several CZ models, a 10 MM on 1911 type frame and the CZ Shadow. I really liked the Shadow until I got home and looked up the price.
