Zackley...it was campy, escapist entertainment and no more. All were spoofs of the standard serious western and spy movies. The ring tone on my cell phone is the red phone from the Derek Flint movies. I still like his personal secret code he used and what it was based upon.

Robert Conrad was also in "Hawaiian Eye" one of those early Warner Bros. series that included "77 Sunset Strip" and "Route 66"
The intros of all these shows are on You Tube. Let's take a surfboard down memory lane and check out "Hawaiian Eye"..

I'm sure the ladies like his outfit.

In the mid 60s TV westerns were still popular compared to now but far less were on than in the late 50s. James Bond movies were popular so The WWW was made to capitalize on that theme but in a western. Remember when they changed the animated intro where he then punches the girl? Couldn't do that nowadays.

I was just thinking about that too.

Conrad was in a movie with Nick Adams "Pretty Boy Floyd" typical gangster flick, may have been a TV deal. Not sure if I have the tittle right but remember some shooting with Thompson's etc.

What a great non P/C show it was! I think it got shut down as it was considered to "racy"

And what cool weapons and martial arts fights Jim West had!

Matt- did you ever find a current scource for the silver rattlesnake enlays?

20-25 years ago, I ordered a silver rattlesnake grip inlay from an outfit called 'spaghetti westerns.com' They have/had all kinds of Eastwood gear. I put the snake on a 5 1/2 Cimarron. I have seen some of these snakes that are really nice and detailed (like mine), and others that seem to be of less quality.
