Dang, but that Bar S stuff looks nice! They are just a bit up the road for me and I might make the trip...

+1 for truivory.com and eaglegrips.com. Another +1 for giraffe bone, and a couple other really good alternatives not mentioned is smooth (no bark) sambar or elk stag from Scott Kolar at: skgrips.com or [email protected], and extremely durable man-made antique ivory paper micarta supplied by Sheffield. Good luck!

All good stuff! Lets see more pictures and hear more votes. Perhaps we can narrow the field. I am particularly impressed with the homemade stocks.

Nice Woodsman -- adjustable front sight even. Tough gun to find.

Check out some of the exotic stuff Boone Trading has. Maybe Mastadon Bone stocks or something? Check them out.

Boone has some incredible options available including unique materials and imitation ivory that allows scrimshaw art. Did you see the ivory stocks on the PreWar Woodsman? Outstanding!

Hmmmm,.... Found these 2 locally without even looking. Just happened to run acrost 'em. Maybe 6-9 months apart, one in a shop and one on armslist. Of course I snapped them both up......

Originally built the corian grip panels for this pre-woodsman target, and recently swapped 'em to the Sport.

Just an idea if you happen to have a hippo tooth lying around - it's 2 1/2" wide at the widest part, good enuf for grips ---
