    Smith & Wesson Ad / Their Forging vs. Ruger Casting

    I remember this ad from about 25 years ago and always thought it was great.

    My areas of expertise are firearms and Latin females. Not necessarily in that order.

    I knew the gal from S&W that come up with and wrote that advertisement. Her name was Sherry Collins, one sharp cookie !! BRjr was mighty impressed by that ad and tried to hire her away I was told.

    Kind of funny that the ad didn't show a K frame, but instead illustrates an L frame. I wonder why? (wink)

    That was possibly the most devastating commercial ad in history.
    S&W placed it after Ruger placed ads intimating that their revolvers were stronger than S&W because they were thicker.
    After the S&W ad, Ruger pulled their ad and slunk off.
