Great closeups of Elmer Keith's guns

I know I'm late to the party here and this has to have been posted and talked about already, but the slim chance it hasn't, these are such great close ups of Keith's guns, including some I,ve never seen before, from the coming Julia auction. I searched here and only found mention of his Number five in one thread.

    Some nice Rugers in there...

I never realized that his name was inscribed on the back of the #5, nor that this was the mainspring design:

This reminds me I'll have to read Sixguns again. It's been quite a while.

    Wyatt,
Do you know of a John Sexton that has something to do with James D. Julia, inc. ? he does appraisals on antique guns etc. I'm new to the antique gun world, but two weeks ago in Dalton GA. at a gun show he was their and looked at my 1873 colt that I had bought a few mo. ago, he gave me a pretty hi appraisal on it, do you know anything about him ? Thanks.

I don't, but I'm not into the older rarer stuff because I can't afford it. but others here might. I'd ask this question in a thread and if the guy is known, someone here will know him, or of him.

Every year my son and I stop by to see the guns during the preview. It is amazing, both in what they have and that without charging admission like a gun show we get to hold and examine some of the finest most expensive guns in the world. If you are ever in central Maine it is worth the time.
