    The slide only needs about a .0001" pinch to stop it. Have you cycled the parts minus barrel & spring? If the d/c is stuck it can stop it also. Whatever it is, it ought to be an easy fix.

    The disconnector could be gummed up and not pushing down. My first thought would have been a kinked recoil spring but you addressed that.
