    When you come across your records inspcalahan, I'd be curious about the serial. I've seen a 1971 SECOND issue that was numbered about 6000 below mine, but nothing later.

    Looked at this Third issue D/S serial # B39xxx today and when I went to the Colt site it comes back as a 1971( Proof House says the same). I thought the Third issue didn't start until 1973??? ...
