New member awaiting for python to become compliant in Massachusetts

    Hello folks,

Just dropping by to introduce myself. I collect S&W revolvers but a Colt Python has always been on my bucket list.

Can’t wait for one to become available in Massachusetts. Hopefully Colt will submit it to the Approved firearms roster in MA. While they are at it they could also submit the King Cobra Carry.

    Cheers,
    Python2020

I live in MA also, and I can assure you that the new Cobra, King Cobra, and Python will almost certainly never be MA compliant. Colt has never yet submitted a handgun for testing in MA, and I seriously doubt if it ever will. You cannot legally purchase any Colt handgun from an out-of-state seller, but you can still occasionally find in-state Colt handguns that are legal to buy in MA gun shops or from legally-licensed MA residents.

Why wouldn't a revolver like a Python or Cobra not be compliant anywhere?

“It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carry the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life, or death ---- it shall be life.” - Ten Bears - “The Outlaw Josey Wales”
