    Just bought my first Colt handgun!

    Hello from Wisconsin, I just purchased my first Colt handgun, a 1961 Detective Special. Decided to join the site to learn and explore. Anyhow, here she is:

    Welcome to the world of old school craftsmanship. Those look like real pearl grips, but it's a little hard to tell from those pictures. Even if not, they look good on the gun.

    I'll try for a better picture- I'd love to know if they're real, but know absolutely nothing about pearl grips...
