    New Member Saying Hello

Like many I have lusted for a Colt Python. I have been reading both ptos and cons and am quite confused. My new NRA American Rifleman magazine claimed it was all bunk and they loved it. BUT I'm sure Colt spends big $$$ with them.
I'm thinking just sit back for a while----let the hoopla die down-----and if there are a few bugs, they will get worked out.
    Thoughts?

Welcome to the Forum from South Texas!
I'm not able to address your concerns about the "new" Python as I don't own one nor have I handled one. The only Python I own is a mid 70's 6" blue gun that shoots better than I do.
I have heard they had some growing pains and have supposedly gotten those worked out.

Welcome from Connecticut where they come from. I have a 1960 6" blued which has an action smooth as silk. I agree ill wait a little while also before I go with the new Python(But I will go). Wise men always say never buy a new model car in it's first year of production. I'm using that logic with Python 2020. I'm going to give Colt a chance to work out the issues.

Hi and welcome to the Colt Forum. Your question is a good one and has been discussed both ways. Check out our Python-specific forum for more discussions. It is found here: https://www.coltforum.com/forums/python/

“It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carry the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life, or death ---- it shall be life.” - Ten Bears - “The Outlaw Josey Wales”
