The "other" 1911 in the family, the wife's red-hot Kimber.
Picked up my CZ 75 Compact (99021) yesterday.
A nifty 10/22, my Tactical Solutions X-22 Backpacker. Lucid optic is a little tall so I'm waiting for Magpul to make some higher risers.
Bought at Jackson Arms - Dallas (SMU Area) in 1972.
Merwin & Hulbert 1st Model in 44 M&H caliber with standard 7" barrel and mottled black/red hard rubber grips. The SN is in the 12xx range. Note early "hump backed" hammer and small screws on left side of frame.
The stair-stepped screws for loading gate and barrel release were gone, and I made those replacement parts. Also the tapered edge plate around the barrel release was gone, and I made them too.
A gun with tight lockup, and still very functional after about 143 years, but cartridges haven't been available since at least 1940.
