    What rifle is the gentleman on the right holding? Sharps? The one on the left is a Winchester, right?
    I Googled the image and it turns out it was taken in 1906 after a hunt on Show River, Alaska.

    The one on the right is definitely a Winchester Model 1895 the one on the left I believe is a Winchester model 1894.

    Then the M1895 caliber was probably .405 W, better than the 30-30 to take those beasts....

    Appears to be a Mill's belt and buckle which given the 1895 Winchester would be correct and may possibly mean the guy is/was in the Army.
