I typically visit the Alamo a time or two each year, then the San Jacinto Battlefield too. But it's nothing special for me to Open Carry my sidearm since I do it everyday. I have many tourists take lots of photos all the time and they are from all over the world.

I've posted this picture before but it's appropiate for this thread too. A TX sheriff and deputies in a county in the northeast. I met the retired sheriff during a trip to Bardstown KY. Interesting guy to talk to. The big ol boy in the middle is carrying a S&W .44 (guessing a 629. On second thought it looks like a blued gun) and the others have Glocks.

I don’t open carry, but my Hill People Gear chest pack is a constant companion. It’ll either have a 610 or 640 in it, depending on locale and hike duration.

A much younger me, circa 1986, Andersen AFB, Guam. Pardon the Smith and Wesson, note the unauthorized target grips and equally unauthorized thumb break holster.

I wouldn't say these are my favorites but, they are of me with various types of gun toting going on...all at work. First is a Knights MK11 Mod0 during some high altitude/steep angle training up in the mountains, second has an HK 53 (hated those things) dangling from my shoulder during a gas deployment and the last one where I'm in short sleeves has an STI 5.0 Tactical .45acp riding along in the holster, while I'm busy dragging a neer do well to where we can get to working on treating his injuries from being shot by us, after he shot one of us.
