    Favorite WWII Pistols

After the recent threads on WWI and WWII rifles let us keep it going with favorite WWII pistols. This can be ones you have, shoot or wish you had. I'll start.

The 1911 A1 is a 1943 Ithaca, (shot it with an incorrect mag). The knife, holster and watch came from my dad and uncle (brought back from the war)

The Lathi is Swedish, with helmet and holster.

The Radom is Waffen marked and again with holster and helmet.

Not a big 9mm fan but the Lathi and Radom both shoot so well and to point of aim that I make exceptions for them.

Let's see what you have or wish you had.

The company is still in business, but their current line of products is nowhere near as interesting as it was during WW2.

Here’s my “shooter” grade 1911A1 I recently bought off a buddy of mine on the cheap. Colt slide, Rem. frame, replacement barrel and a set of stag grips. (Also came with the originals but I think these are kind of cool.)

I have a Large number of WWII pistols but only have pictures of a couple of them, a pair of British lend - Lease 1911 Colts. The safe picture is old and now has 2 complete rows of 1911s. Some are are WWII vintage. I have a large number of German WWII pistols including Lugers and Hi-powers. The favorites have to be the 1911 and the Luger. Two of the 3 easiest identified handguns in the world. Can you guess the 3rd?

This all started with one gun!

I used to have a Colt 1911a1 and a remington rand. The Colt is my favorite and the closes I can come to it now is my new Colt Government model 38 super.
