    Old and New Python.jpg

Will take more if I can today. The top one is the new one the bottom is my 4in Ultimate for comparison. Also note the improved more robust Marble rear sight.

Good grief, I just got off work to find this! Guess I will not be getting a King Cobra after all.

I assume it uses the new transfer bar mechanism ad doesn't hold the hand against the ratchet when firing like the old model?

The finish on the website looks phenomenal. I think its reasonable to expect it'd be in stainless with the cost to replicate the royal blue of old.

Judging by the sideplate screw location it is the MKIII / MKV action or whatever Colt calls it now. Price doesn't seem out of line either.

Wow. From the style of your photos, I can't tell whether you're going to shoot it, or make love to it.

I heard they were going to introduce an Abe Vigoda signature edition for those who thought the snake was dead.

But, what controversy!!! First, Colt's was a bunch of you-know-whats for discontinuing the snake. Now, they are under suspicion for re-introducing it. :sheesh: Whatza' LLC 'spose ta do?

$1,499? Sounds like a bargain, as semi-beater shooters go for that much. And the low serial numbers of the new/improved/continuation/reintroduction edition are instant collectibles. If Jay Leno was a gun guy, he's buy a consecutively numbered pair for each door on his McLaren.
