    1970 Colt Python Value

Hey guys, just trying to get a rough idea on what my Python may be valued at. I know the pics are not that great and I can provide more.

Your gun is well used, the pics show the wear very clearly. Your letter says the gun is from the 70s? To me the roll stamp on the barrel looks like a 60s era lettering. I’ve been wrong before! I can’t really give you a value. Also your LOCATION may also dictate the value. Pete

Sturmgewehr: thanks for your input I appreciate that. Just a quick question, why do you state the gun is well used? I have maybe shot 4 boxes of shells through the gun. I did hunt with it one day and it did get some holster wear but other then that, that’s it. I did put a coat of REN wax o;it so it does look dull. The next pic is of my dad’s 1972 Python.

Your gun is a shooter and probably a fine one at that. As far as collectible goes,it shows wear and for me personally looking to buy,I would be holding out for something in better condition. Yes,your pictures show holster wear and maybe you only shot it a little but look at the wear on the cylinder bolt notches. The muzzle shows considerable wear also. Just my thoughts, another guy maybuy it at whatever price you put on it just because he wants a Python. Good luck whatever you do. Pete
