    Full Polished 2020 Python?

I wonder who will be the first to do a full bright polish job on a new 2020 Python? Would be cool to see!

Actually...the finish my new Python has isn't too far from the Ultimate Finish. It's way above the finish on the new King Cobra which was leaps and bounds above the finish on the new Cobra. While Colt may well offer the Ultimate Finish on the new Python I'd rather see additional calibers such as .22 and 10mm...or a new Anaconda.

Well I don't know if I'll be 1st since we probably won't see any here in Canada until march but mine will be taken apart and block sanded with 1500 then 2000 and put on the buffer right away!!

I know there are things to look for to determine whether or not a blued or nickeled gun has been refinished, but what about determining that a Python has been polished to become 'bright stainless'?

The same as with older bright stainless Pythons...box and label (if original and not counterfeit)...original paperwork such as sales invoices...Colt archives letter...serial number range...whether the polish looks professional or screw holes being dished and markings being soft as well as soft edges.

Okay, thanks. I recently checked one out and the screw holes and markings were as they should be. I didn't know if polishing without going through re-blueing could hide such things.

I'd say you're right. It's very straight and crisp compared with many older stainless Pythons, so it should be pretty easy to polish it. Might do that once I get hold of one.
