That's not a "Legacy" Python but a 2020 Python with aftermarket engraving. It may be nice but not worth money any more than a curiosity since it didn't leave Hartford that way. Someone will want want it...that's what the free market is all about. It all never have the future value one might think...as has been said here before...it's a "contrived" collectible.

Whoever buys it...I hope it takes them happy.

Although not a Legacy or original Python, it reminds me there seems to be a huge decline in posts from the Legacy forum members. Just saying.

Looks like a donation for a worthy cause. Also maybe a good tax deduction?

That is some quality engraving work! Much nicer than the factory engraving shown.

That Colt letter is suspect for that GB listing.

That's an interesting observation. When we were just talking about old Pythons, there wasn't much to argue about - mainly just friendly discussions. All the points of contention over the new gun vs the old one has probably put some people off talking about Colts. I'm sure it will get back to normal once the dust settles.

The letter is from Colt and says it is the ‘first to be be engraved’. Kinda leaves out whether or not it was done by Colt or elsewhere. But since it says it’s the first it sure seems like it was done by them.

I clicked the link and am now dreaming about being a kid again and going to that camp!
Wow that would be cool! Sent the YouTube video to my son hoping he’d say OMG but instead I got a meh.
