Royal Blue 6” Python box and PPW

    Hi all,
Just picked up a 1981 Python in royal blue. Gun is in very good condition and I’m pleased with the purchase. The dealer provided me with a hard plastic gun case but he said it’s not the original box. Gun was picked up in an estate sale. I’ve been looking on eBay for the matching box and PPW. This is what I found:

    https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F142921885260

Would this be the appropriate matching box and paperwork?

I’m glad I asked here first. Anywhere I can acquire an authentic box with paperwork for it?

They are out there but they won’t look new, and your gun only came with one original box and paperwork. If it was mine I’d have a quality wooden case made for it. It would look better and cost about the same as a fake cardboard box.

$200 bucks for a fake paper box, you have to be kidding me? Why would you pay for a fake box? A fake box adds nothing of value to the gun, probably decreases the value. If I was buying a Python and saw a fake box, I wouldnt trust the seller and would either offer less or more than likely just walk away. Smutt is right, pay for a nice wooden box if you want a box. Me...who needs a box?

    Yeah congrats on the Python.
Good idea to have a wood box made.
Cardboard replacement box is not worth the trouble!

You don't need a correct box for your Python.
You don't really need any box.
Find comfy spot in your safe where it can live.
Carry it to the range in a rug or a case.
The only time any of my Pythons ever were in a holster was just to see if it fit.
Go blast the teats off that thing.

Thanks guys for the help. I’ve seen the wood boxes and I like those quite a bit. Anyways, here is the gun. I’m certainly proud of it.
