Took a couple of .22s to the range this morning. The first is a Ruger 22/45 Lite set up for steel plate matches. The second, a Ruger 10/22 converted to look like a Thompson SMG!

Took my older model Colt Commander out to the range today a forty five-100 rds hardball, no body there- except one other shooter, quiet and cool out there at the range. Fun and relaxing need to do that more often- not hitting to good. Need helluva lot more practice.

Talked to the worker there at the club house after shooting, he said he had a visitor waiting for him when he open up the office the other day.. a damn big rattler snake was curled op on a rock right by the door! He said he jumped back 50 feet. lol

Some guys came over and killed the snake chopped off its head with a shovel- and the damn thing was still trying to bite some one after it was kilt. damn!

Ruger Mark IV Hunter again. That Ruger flat out shoots lights out. The below group is 10 shots at 25 yards. The dot is one inch. Ammo is CCI MM HP. Shot from a rest, naturally.

Took the same blue steel Commander and my pal "Ox" out to the range again today. First time he fired a 1911, he has not done much shooting but he caught on quick. He got some good hits up close and he had a good time!
    Shoot 100 rounds of .45

He has the potential to be a good shot.!

Up early every morning. This morning I ushered up the sun with a few magazines from my 1903 hammerless and 1907 Savage. They are little but still make a joyful noise; the sound of Freedom. No pictures as too little time. Work to do, work, work!

I was trying to sight in my brand new Marvel Precision Unit#2 1911 .22LR Conversion Unit. It's the front one mounted on my Norinco M1911A1 lower. I generally like black bullseye sights, but with the red fibre optic front I was having some issues sighting it in. The rear blade has 2 round divots, but a white DOT rear blade is not offered as an option. It sucks getting old.......Anyway, it shot pretty good. I'm pretty sure I can tighten the group up some. Some white nail polish in those 2 divots should help do the trick. The pistol in the rear has a Marvel Unit#1 mounted on it and it's laser beam accurate.
