Hi, I'm new here, It was suggested I come here to find out from
the experts more about the Colt SAA. I certainly appreciate your help. The questions I like to ask are below.
Do most 1st and 2nd Gen barrels always fit on a 2nd Gen frame?
Note, Mine are Yrs. 1973 and 1974... SN# 66xxxSA and 69xxxSA I understand 2nd gen SN# go up to 73000SA. - Where should I look for and get the best barrels and cylinders what's a decent price for original new or used?
- Do they still manufacture new cylinders and barrels or re-manufacturer any?
- What are the buyer beware signals to look out for?
- I saw a barrel on line that read "New Old Stock 1st 2nd Gen for $275." is that a fair price and Does that mean it will fit my 2nd Gen frame?
Thank you all for any suggestions... in advance, I appreciate your responses.
