Yahoody's recommendation to see if Francolini may be willing to handle the sell for you is a great idea assuming he will do it for a reasonable rate.

The last I heard, he lives in Hawaii.

I recieved a phone call just a minute ago and the lady said Mr. Francolini engraved it outside of there shop, she then sent me the e-mail with this info... We have completed the expedite research on your Colt Single Action Army Revolver and can provide the following information.

Serial Number SA25775 - .45 Long Colt, 4 ¾”, Blue finish, Stocks not listed, Shipped to M&N Distributors, 3040 W. Lomita Blvd., Torrance, CA on November 21, 1979, a shipment of 3 guns.

This information will go into typing and the letter will go out the beginning of next week.

Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

    Sincerely,

    Beverly Haynes

Interesting. At that level of presentation and engraving I don't think it detracts from the gun. Next step is to contact the elusive Mr.
Francolini and have him enlighten you on who commissioned the gun and some history. 30+ year old project. Someone will know.
