    2nd Gen Parts Value

I bought a lot of Colt SAA parts and among them are a very nice blue 2nd gen 45 Colt cylinder with the pony stamp and a hammer with the pony in like condition. I'll probably sell them so, what should I ask for them? Thanks

from the research and help we have had..condition and caliber is key. ours have been selling from 150-300 depending on this. Hammers..it appears those three notches are key to the ability to use it again. some of ours have sold from75-150. That's about all the info I can give up..Those prices were given to us from forum members who know their stuff.

Thanks Hugh. I have no experience with 2nd Gen Colts. I'll probably just throw them on Ebay and let them decide what they are worth.

Which version of the 2nd gen hammer is also important to the value there are four; early fixed pin hammers with the hole in the back either high top or rounded top; later movable firing pin rounded top or high top. Earlier hammers are somewhat more expensive, and nickel more than standard blue with polished sides.

    Best regards,

You should put them on sale here after you set a price.

Well darn, I just noticed the tip of the half cock notch on the hammer is broke off. It'll need to be filed or welded up and re-shaped.

OK. I'll list the cylinder here first.
