    Long Flute Registry?

While reviewing Forum archives, I noticed mention of a member of the Forum that was activley working on a registry of Long Flute SAA’s. Is that member known and still active? Does anyone know them and have contact info?

Not my primary interest but I had to have at least one! It’s .41 cal. One of 70 Long Flutes made in that caliber.
I believe the letter is in error and should have read 1915.

Thanks for the reply Rick. Looks like a dandy! Seems like most want one and few will have an opportunity. 330962 fell in my lap awhile back and when I lettered it with several other single actions, I got a nice surprise. It lettered to Phelps Dodge in Bisbee
Az in 1914. It’s one of the four Long Flutes shipped to that location during 1913-14. Trapdoor has it listed in his Arizona shipped
Single Actions list. I’ll post pics when I learn the secret to that black art.

Both of ours are outside the norm for Long Flutes. This from Don Wilkerson, " production (of the Long Flutes) began in April of 1913 beginning with 330001 and continuing to 331480, a few fall outside of this serial range." However, these dates of manufacture and normal production chronology seem inconsistent. (?) Last serial number produced in 1913 is 327999. Last in 1914 is 329499. Ours seem to have shipped long before they were manufactured! Maybe my 1913 ship date is correct. Warrants further study.

Ok, I should have read before I spoke. Kopec, Graham and Moore explain it all in their book," A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver"

As I understand, the serials for the long flutes were dedicated beginning with 330000 before they were produced.
so they were not in the normal production/numbering order
    mine also shipped june 1913
