New to New Frointer Grip Question 22LR

Ok, this may seem obvious, but I have a dumb question. I am looking for a pair of like new New Frontier 1970 to 1972 grips for a New Frontier 22 LR. What do I need to be looking for? I assume there is no different between peacemaker, scout, and new frontier grips in the 50s, 60s, and 70s and are interchangable? I am wanting just the factory colt grips. HELP! I could use some guidance and a pair of grips! Thanks!

While the stocks from the Colt Scout will fit they are not correct. The correct stocks would be black plastic eagle stocks. These are not the same as the stocks that fit the SAA, The New Frontier 22 is smaller and has its own stocks. Lots of nice after-market stocks out there if nothing else shows up. Good luck.

Thanks! It has a nice set of aftermarket on it now, but I would like to purchase some original black plastic eagle stocks. I see stocks on different sites, but I am unsure what I am looking exactly or if a seller really knows the difference.

Here are some photos of Colt factory grips for a Peacemaker .22 or New Frontier .22. Note the small grip screw and the right angled cut at the top. Grips for SAA and the .22s are different and will not interchange.

Just to clarify, Buckspen is pointing out the top of the grip in the right side photo when he mentions the right angle cut in the top, that sort of looks like a notch cut into the top of each grip whereas SAA grips don’t have the notch.
