This article was taken off the Smith and Wesson Forums. I am posting this, because after reading the article I think this SAA he is carrying in the post above may have been his own personal gun. He used a pair of SAA's in Cat Ballou and as I remember they were nickle with pearl grips. Just though all of you might enjoy the article and possible connection.
Rigby, I posted that great article over there because Walter Rego posted it in the "Elmer and Clint" thread here a couple days ago. It's an amazing article. I also posted a long written interview of Lee Marvin at S&W and got an infraction because he swore so much in it! It's an amazing article by Robert Ward on the Dailey Beast right after he made Death Hunt.

And for gun guys, Lee Marvin telling about having to kill a Japanese soldier with the 1911 his dad gave him. He even remembered the serial number! Someone mentioned they probably just handed him any gun for movie roles.. In most cases, yes. But not with him since he was so into guns. He even tried his hand at gun writing here in Gun World...

I hijacked it myself here posting it at S&W assuming it was very old news that only I never read about. LM doesn't miss a thing in that long interview Ugly posted above.
