    Recent Colt Bisley Revolver Article

    https://gunsmagazine.com/handguns/the-bisley-revolver/

"Cowboy, lawman and writer Walter Rogers wore a Bisley across the arid plains and canyons of Texas. He preferred the Bisley grips as they allowed him to get off a faster first shot."

“In repeat shots, it is much slower than the Army Model,” Rogers wrote, “but it can be used with amazing speed on the draw and first shot, and is very accurate.”

Recent article from "Guns Magazine" about the Colt Bisley Revolver- some interesting info and some nice Bisley photos.

Didn't know the Bisley pistol matches meant firing single shots within a 3 second window then 3 seconds rest. Interesting.

Be sure to note the Bisley owned by saintclair. I sincerely appreciate him allowing me to use the image for the article.

Very interesting article. I own one Bisley in 41 Colt, wish it was 32 WCF.

As a Bisley fan I enjoyed the article, thanks for posting it! It's been years since I watched, "The Grey Fox" movie and they couldn't have chosen a better actor than Richard Farnsworth for the role. Only thing is from a potential purchaser of Bisleys, the article may drive the prices up...I'm not planning on selling any, (the old woman probably will when I'm worm food though...Yippie for her!).

Thanks. I have several Bisley models including an antique in 45. A regular Bisley in 45 and one in 44 Russian and a 32WCF. I kinda like them.

My next purchase will be a Bisley in 44 or 45. I love shooting them.

I believe Randolph Scott also favored the Bisley in some of his western movies. I do like Bisleys but could never master doing anything with them quickly. I don’t think Randolph Scott could either; I know in one movie where he drew and fired quickly it almost looked like the round would have actually gone through the ceiling rather than dropping the bad guy.

Alan, As I wrote to you, I will be buying a 'hard copy' of that August 2019 issue of GUNS since you included the picture of my Cattlebrand engraved Bisley in it! Thanks for including it!
