The Frame SN has been re-stamped with non-Colt dies. The other SN's look like original Colt ones.

for myself, I would never own something like this or look to dump it as this gun could have had most any cross pin serial number originally.

If the price stopped now I'd love to own it. Going to go for way too much.

Someone liked the backstrap, trigger guard and grips. Frame has been renumbered.

Aside from the frame number not matching, some of those digits stamped on the frame are not Colt of this period.

Here's my meager offering, in full agreement with everyone one else on it not being original numbers. My Bisley is 292047, all numbers matching, is one I picked up from the late Swamprat's (Hugh) collection. I'm thinking it was refinished at some point, as the logo was buffed away and "scratched" back in, plus the area near the trigger guard screws just looks a bit worn down. I bought it as I've always wanted a Bisley and this one is in good "shooting" condition. Anyway, it will at least give you an idea of the numbering for the 1907 "292..." s/n look. I took the one photo on a cast iron griddle, as it matches the guns finish.

Certainly appears to be newly applied frame numbers to me. Pass.
