    Valuation 1964 Colt SAA

Looking for opinions on the valuation of a 1964 second generation Colt single action Army sesquicentennial edition

Seller doesnít think itís been fired but not sure. Itís complete and I know itís worth more if Not fired

Even though itís decorated itís still a Colt second generation single action Army

Curious on such a value for fired versus unfired?

    Thanks advance
    K

You should post this in the SAA section.

Fired or not, the battered stop notches on the cylinder show it’s been cocked a hundred or more times.
    (Dang that’s an ugly SAA)

Even if new, which it doesn't appear to be, there are several other 2nd. gen commemoratives that are more attractive/desirable than this non-fluted pinto.

For $1000 I think thats a good deal. All you need is a 2nd gen blued cylinder.

At $1,000 I think the seller knows exactly what it’s worth.
You’d be sitting for a while just to hope to make a couple hundreds off the right buyer.

There are several of this exact model in much better condition that dealers have a reduced price of 1395 or so and can't sell them. With this one where the cylinder is beat up I would try offering 800 for it.

I guesstimate the value at $800 or less. Gonna take some luck finding parts and some bucks to make that sows ear into silk purse. I wouldn't bother. JMHO.
