Refurbishing Colt 125th Commemortive Model

To continue- purchased this 125th version to shoot it but discovered it was unfired but gold plating was worn a lot from just handling. So, shipped all the gold plated pieces plus screws to Reliable Plating who charged $160(including shipped) to strip gold, strip under neath nickel, polish, and renickel. Parts look like new. Now it looks so nice especially with my silver grips I'm not sure if I Gun Revolver Trigger

They do the plating for a lot of the well known engravers often mentioned on this forum. Ask for Dale.
Since I planned on using this as a shooter I wanted something very durable. I thought nickel would be much more durable than regolding. I did not think of silver but think nickel is more durable than silver.
