So, where are the pics?
Received today my Colt SAA from the Custom Shop. I have attached my original order for reference.
The pistol looks excellent, I will see how it shoots. It was $2,130.00 back in May 2015.
I wanted the Black powder frame but it was no longer available as of 2018.
Pat, in the custom shop was very helpful, i always could talk to someone about the status.
As far as the wait, it is like planting a pecan tree.
The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is today.
The best time to order a Colt Custom SAA is 4 years ago, the second best is today
So, where are the pics?
On my phone, not yet downloaded to PC

In this day and age you should be lauded for your patience. I’m at the age now where I’m starting to notice that people close to my age are kicking the bucket fairly frequently. I’m trying not to put things off any longer, thank God I already have my SAA’s and Sharps rifles.
Hi, I guess I'll have to rethink plans, for ordering from the custom shop. I considered it because I want a 38-40 or a 44-40. For what they charge and the wait I think a "Pre-owned" model is in my future. I will look for that model, that was only used on Sunday's and drives in the country, , regards, Mike
4 years imo is ridiculous. I might understand 6 months, maybe a year.
You're a patient man my friend...
Me... not so much !!
Looking forward to the detailed pics...front, back, upside down, and sideways.
Hell, I waited this long !!

If you ordered it with a black powder frame in 2015 and they took your deposit, there should have been no excuse for their not being a frame available for your order. JMHO.
"I agree. I ordered mine in 2017 and was also told no more BP frames. The vendors they use aren't making them any longer. I told them to look for different vendors, but their response was "we can refund your money" which I am sure they'd be very happy to do and sell mine to someone for $3500 instead."
And that's the Catch-22, if you want a new Custom Shop Colt, the only place to get it is the Custom Shop at Colt. And Colt will sell what it wants regardless of what we want. That's why I buy old ones to shoot, I'd rather give my money to another Colt man than the company.
