Notice the caliber on the card says 44-45.
    "44, 45. Whatever it takes."

That serial number listed on the card of the Paladin Colt: is the first digit a 5 or an S? If it's a five that makes it a 5 million something number. If an 'S'. what for?

Who knows many guns he was handed to him by the prop man. The picture of the gun I have has 2 piece wood grips and a full front sight. It is the one he uses in the intro to the show.

I have pics of several other SAA. James Arness's 45 serial # also starts with an S. there are several others that do not have an S. ?????

Colt 44-45...very rare. Only two know to exist, this Paladin one and the one Rick bought on Pawn Stars. After his Colt expert said is was worth $75K.

Richard Boone played both parts...his and the person he was to kill.
If you listen to the Ballad of Paladin, there is a line the says "...of the man with the gun of the man called Paladin."

I've only seen Cheyenne when he packed a Great Western .45, but in older ones he used an 1875 Remington. I don't know what the plot was here why he was aiming this S&W American but it's a great picture.
