Sheriff Burp, if there is enough clearance between the two guns maybe a piece of steel strapping from your local hardware store, the type that is used to strap down a water heater for example, and covered with felt could be fashioned to work. The steel is easy to bend, some spray adhesive should hold the felt in place once the partition is formed to your satisfaction. If you figure out a solution, post the finished results.

That solution sounds perfect! It looks like that could easily be screwed into the inside of the case gently through the felt leaving the screws covered as well.

Thanks, everyone. The bottom is very thin wood, but the guns don't make it sag. If I make this a gun box, I think I'd screw a couple cut down stained dowels in the floor board from the bottom strategically inside each trigger guard and tight against the cylinder pin area. Which is what I think Cloverleaf meant here if I understood him correctly.

Maybe reinforce the bottom with another piece of thin wood, Gorilla Glued in place too.

Should be a simple fix if you place them at a 45 degree angle. You can get thin strips of wood and felt at an Arts and Craft Store.
