    44 Colt?

Fun Colt project about to go back together. A pair of dual cylinder 44s, 44 Special and 44-40. Colt BP frames, Giraffe bone grips, hand cut hammers with 4 3/4" barrels. Roll marks that I thought appropriate but something a little different as well. Lots of options for a SAA in 44. Simple seemed good so I copied the caliber roll mark idea from a "parts" gun Hondo built a while back.

    Thank you Gentlemen!

The fun thing about a Colt SAA is if Colt doesn't build it now, you generally can with little effort. I see guys ask about caliber and barrel changes on occasion here, and often as not someone suggests you just go buy a new gun. Exactly what you want instead of changing what you have.

I don't typically suggest that. In fact I got the hankering for a 7.5" 44 today. So I screwed a .44 caliber long barrel on one of these BP frames. Likely just be for some short term fun, but not a big deal to fit it up right and pop a cap or two while the long barrel is on the frame. A lot easier to hit with a 7.5" barrel by comparison

So, you go'in to sell them Colt's or what?

A pair of B.P. framed B/CC Colt's in .44 Colt looks to be what I need.
