    Rampart Colt Trademark

About what serial number did Colt start using the encircled Rampart Colt on their SAA's? Did the same trademark begin around that same SN for the Bisley? I am looking at a SAA in the 299XXX range that has the encircled Rampart Colt. Recently, a Colt Bisley in the 291XXX was posted and it did not have the Trademark.
in the GK&M book, I see pictures of some Bisley Target's in the the 152xxx & 156xxx range with the Trademark.
Also, a recent posting showed a very early SAA which had been sent back to Colt for a repair/conversion and Colt put the encircled Rampant Colt on that gun.

The rampant colt on the frame started right in the 130,000 serial range. A Bisley in the 291,000 range without it would be just a factory error which you do see from time to time. I've even seen the rampant colt upside down on at least 2 guns in the past few years.

Seems like I had a nickel single action in the 147,000 range a while back that was missing the rampant colt also.

Jim's estimate of 130xxx range is very helpful and I know he has a great data base on SAA's.

2horses, I like that very unusual Cavalry!!
