**FOUND** CLOSED Colt Factory Mags That work in the Series 70 Type 1911 45ACP

I am looking for a couple or few Colt factory mags that would function good with the 1911 Series 70 45ACP from the factory, gun is blue by the way. I only have one mag with the one I just bought and would like to at least add a couple more. Let me know what you have and want shipped to Orlando.

You're gonna have to do some looking at gun shows or maybe online sellers if no one here has what you're looking for. From what I've been told Colt doesn't do blue magazines anymore...either 7- or 8-round. I had to find a pair at a gun show for my 70-Series Gold Cup. Hopefully, someone here can help you out.

What year model is your 1911? Are you looking for the same mags that would have been issued with your gun or generic mags? If generic mags is what you want, try searching Ebay, Brownells, Numrich, or Midway.

I would have to ask Rick Bowles I just got it from him, I think it is a 1980 45acp Series 70.

I just saw your 1911. It is a 1980 model. This photo was posted on this forum when I was looking for a 1911 mag. Not sure if this is 100% correct, but I have been using this photo as accurate information. Your correct mag would be 3rd from the bottom.

If you’re not stuck on Colt factory mags get Wilson Combat 47D or Chip McCormick Power Mags.

The Metalform magazines are essentially the same as the ones that would have came with a 1980 vintage Colt. The current Colt magazines are supplied by Check-Mate.
There are a few listed here: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...p2045573.m1684
