Looking to sell this 1951 Colt Sistema.
Frame, slide, barrel and even the magazine are all a serial number match.
The bore is mirror clean.
Very little wear cosmetically, all stamps sharp.
At some point in the 70s (I'm guessing), this was slightly modified to be a target shooter. It has a single piece guide rod as well as a series 70 bushing. The barrel was slightly turned down (like a colt government model barrel) to accommodate the series 70 bushing. It also has target sights and grips.
One of the bushings on the right side of the grip is loose (screw just spins) so that will probably need to be fixed.
I have not shot the gun but the previous owner said it was the best shooting and most accurate 1911 they ever shot.
Would really like to sell/ship this week.
