border patrol nickel

I picked up a nickel plated Border Patrol second generation today. The pistol has been carried and shows wear as small flecks on sharp edges in the finish. Also the grips show some wear. I was put in contact with a collector who wants the pistol for his collection. I don't know what to ask...
