    Hello, looking for some experienced eyes to take a look at this 1966 Colt commercial in nickel. I looked in an old Blue book and I found it refers to this as a 1911A1. The gun is not stamped 1911A1. So am I missing something? So my question is does the serial number with “C” suffix look...

    I'm looking at another '24 commercial, C136745. According to my book the markings on the barrel place it in military serial range for that year. My question is, could it be the original barrel somehow? Seems unlikely that a replacement barrel would coincidentally have been produced In '24.

    Do engravers usually put their initials somewhere on their work? Where would it be? Also if not done by Colt, what could I assume this would add to the value of this 1955 commercial? It is lettered, but does not mention the engraving. It's also possible it may or may not have been refinished...
