As most forum members know, it is difficult to first find a gunsmith that has expertise with the Colt Single Action Army and then the wait is long. I was one of the folks that tried Dave Chicoine and ended up (16 months later) about $300 poorer and still had a broken revolver. I contacted Tom...
Hi I am new here and mailing from Sweden. Collecting and shooting american rifles and handguns. Reloading and gunsmithing if needed. It should be fun to follow you here and maybe also asking for tips. I fact I am going to do a job with a 1878 DA and have some questions about that in a new thread.

Any recommendations on a gunsmith for my Colt 1877 Lightning 38? It works fine as a SA where I pull the hammer all the way back but not as a DA. I phoned a couple of locals and as soon as I said 1877 LIghtning they were booked up.
I don't mind shipping it off as long as whoever does a good job...
Looking for the finest quality revolversmith who would do great work on a pair of Colt Agents. Just need a light, smooth "double-action" trigger pull at eight pounds and chamfering of the chamber mouths to allow HKS speedloaders to load 148 gr. LWC's.:)
Thanks for your opinions.
